My Story

Hi, I’m Rachael, and I absolutely love style. Over the years, I’ve collected wardrobe show-stoppers, timeless staples, special vintage finds, and thrifty second-hand treasures. I’m endlessly fascinated by the details, a perfect shade of olive, the drape of a pleat, or a tiny embroidered emblem.

Inspiration comes from everywhere: books, magazines, lookbooks, films, and family photo albums, as well as real-life street style. From Tilda Swinton’s wardrobe in A Bigger Splash to the catwalk icons of Paris is Burning, Donna Karan’s 90s New York power dressing with her “Seven Easy Pieces,” and my Mum’s entire New Romantic era.

Wardrobe of Friends started as a passion project to share my wardrobe and make the brands and pieces I love accessible to others. As a one-woman business, my aim is to build an inclusive style community, beginning with a diverse collection of accessories for hire.

I know lending my wardrobe isn’t the conventional route to style, but I believe in positivity and trust. If we’re comfortable sharing homes, cars, books, or seedlings, why not clothes?

Thank you for stopping by, I hope you find something that brings you as much joy wearing it as it does me.
