Do you have a showroom where I can try outfits on?
Yes! Our brand new showroom is located in the centre of Stockport, Greater Manchester. You can book a free 30 or 60 minute try on appointment via Fresha available on Wednesdays and Thursdays 10am-8pm or you can visit us on our weekly open day every Friday 10-5pm.

Stockport train station is a 3 minute walk away.
What is the size range of the rental collection ?
We are proud to be a size inclusive rental service offering a diverse collection unique styles and interesting brands available in a UK8 to a UK16.
Do you offer longer rentals ?
Our standard postal rental services runs on a 4 days basis and can be booked via email through our website or via our rental partner platforms Hurr and By Rotation. Should you need a custom rental for a long period please email us at hello@wardrobeoffriends.com and we'll do our best to help fulfil your request.
Please note we have a minimum rental policy of 4 days for postal orders.
How often will you update the collection ?
We are planning on offering special weekly DROPS that will be available to hire to our newsletter subscribers first. Customers that sign up to our mailing list will have an initial 3 day window to place any future rental orders before the DROP goes officially live.
How far in advance can I book my rental ?
You can book your rental as far as 12 months in advance.
Will items be available for resale ?
Yes ! We are planning seasonal resell sales throughout the year where newsletter subscribers will have the first opportunity to purchase pre-loved items. Please sign up to our mailing list for news and updates.
Are you planning on offering a rental service on behalf of lenders ?
No. All stock is fully managed by Wardrobe of Friends. There will however be unique, one-off opportunities where community members can submit items for sale and we may consider purchasing items to build into our collection.
What if the item does not fit?
If you are unsure about the fit of a garment, please read the fit notes and model specifications detailed in the product description. Prior to ordering please contact us via email to request measurements, we do our best to reply to fit enquiries within a few hours.
As a small business, we unfortunately do not offer refunds on items that do not fit after we have provided measurement details by request.
Sizing
Please note that to avoid confusion we have listed all sizing in UK sizes. For example a COS label showing EU38 is equivalent to a UK10. Where item labels read Small, we will list this as a UK10. If you're unsure on sizing please email us for exact measurements of the item you are interested in.
What happens if my rental isn’t going to arrive on time?
We endeavour to offer a reliable and efficient delivery service for our rentals however sometimes external factors such as bad weather and courier services can cause delays. You may be entitled to a full refund on the rental fee should this occur. As a small business we unfortunately do not offer refunds on missed orders where deliveries have been attempted.
What happens if I’m not in to accept a delivery?
Our managed rentals are shipped using a reliable 24-hour overnight delivery service. Depending on the time you book your rental and your location, the provider will be Royal Mail, EVRI or DPD.
Regardless of the delivery provider, you’ll receive email notifications to keep you updated on your parcel’s journey.
For security reasons, couriers are instructed not to leave parcels in a safe place if you’re not available. It’s important to avoid this option and consider alternative delivery arrangements provided in the notification emails from the courier.
As a small business we unfortunately do not offer refunds on missed orders where deliveries have been attempted.
What is damage protection ?
A damage protection cost (also known as a security deposit) of £25 is automatically applied to every order total. This covers you for certain types of small damage up to £50 should any of the garments become damaged during your rental period. Providing the items are returned safely with no signs of damage the security deposit will be returned in full within 24 hours of receiving back the rented items.
Coverage
This includes repairable damage such as broken zips, clasps, closures, buttons, hooks, missing beads, and minor stain removal.
What’s Not Covered
Damage Beyond Repair: Damage that renders the item irreparable is not covered
Loss: Loss of the item due to carelessness, theft, or other reasons is not covered.
Excessive Damage: Damage that exceeds the £50 repair fee is not covered.
Should the item be lost, stolen or damaged beyond the repair fee the renter will be liable for estimated market value of the item.
How to report a damage issue ?
No matter how big or small the issue is, please contact us via email with a detailed description of the problem and images before returning your rental and we will do our best to help. Please do not return damaged items without notification.
What happens if I am late returning an item ?
Any item that is returned outside of its rental window will incur a £25 late fee charge. All rented items must be returned by 12pm on Monday using a reliable, tracked 24 hour service.
How to return an item ?
Where possible please reuse the original packaging we have supplied. There are two sealed tabs at the opening of the parcel bag, please use the second one from the top.
Renters are responsible for the cost for return postage and must use a tracked 24 hour service.
